Administrative history

Established in 1831 in St Andrew's Street, Norwich. The Norfolk and Norwich bazaar was 'to encourage female and domestic industry' by providing space to enable 'artisans of ability to vend the product of their industry at a small expence'. It was also to include a reading room and a gallery for Norwich School artists.
