Name of creator
Son of Revd James Samuel William Durham. In 1903 married Lady Agnes Elizabeth Audrey Townshend (1870-1955), daughter of 5th Marquis Townshend of Raynham. Great grandson of Major General Sir William Toone, KCB (1749-1822) in the service of the East India Company in Bengal. Lived at the Grange, Cromer. Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries (elected 1922; removed 1953).
