Audio Recordings

Many recordings are subject to copyright and other access restrictions which means that they can only be accessed in the NRO searchroom. The result list will be arranged chronologically by start date.

TIPS:

  • Use double quotations marks, e.g., "Anne Smith" or "South Lynn"."
  • If searching by a personal name enter as "Forename Surname". Watch out for nicknames and the short form of popular names such as "Ted" for "Edward" or "Daisy" or "Peggy" for "Margaret".

SEE ALSO:

  • The NRO is part of the British Library-led 'Unlocking Our Sound Heritage'. The purpose of the project is to digitise audio recordings for preservation and access. More information can be found on the project web page.
