Also includes, in order found, a copy of The Law Society final examination papers, 1946, letter to Tom Eaton from Frederic Eaton with news from Norfolk, 8 March 1947; postcards sent by Tom Eaton while on various holidays, 1962; and printed booklet entitled 'Review of World Affairs', 1947.

Correspondence between Jarrold and Sons and staff members serving in the armed forces in the Second World War

Letters sent between 1940 and 1947 from staff members, many of them apprentices. The letters are mainly to thank the company for sending them Christmas parcels, to enquire about the status of their jobs after demobilisation, and to update the company on what they have been doing in the forces. There are also some copies of replies from the company. Found with these were lists of staff members and addresses, an undated press clipping about pay for the armed forces and a leaflet about a 1951 recall of Army and R.A.F. Reservists for training.
