These maps formed part of the Norris Collection, which was bequeathed to the National Trust on condition that the documents were deposited with the relevant county record offices. The documents all seem originally to have been owned by the Bedingfeld family of Oxborough: Sir Henry Bedingfeld married Margaret, daughter and heiress of Edward Paston of Appleton in 1830.

Received by the Norfolk Record Office on 29 November 1995 (MS 33562 numbered BRA 2524/1-10) and 11 December 1996 (MS 34115 numbered BRA 2524/11-17).
