All or part of this manor was held of the Honour of Clare. H. Muskett, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1845) and Reverend Henry Joseph Muskett, MA, is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1883). However, the manor appears in a fine and fee book of those manors held by Robert Fellowes in the late nineteenth century [NRO MC 1832/15-16]. \r\nFor further history of the manor to the early eighteenth century, see F. Blomefield, 'An Essay towards a Topographical History of the County of Norfolk' (11 vols, London, 1805-10).\r\n
