The bulk of them relate to his time in the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS), spent mainly with armoured cars in Europe and Asia during the First World War; but there is also some business and personal correspondence; papers relating to donations and subscriptions to war funds; societies and clubs; one box of letters labelled The Press, various congratulations, Irish Policy, British Government policy, 1914-1919, and two boxes of letters to and from his constituents, mostly dated 1919, but some earlier.
