Part of volume used as a record of Borough Court proceedings (cases all relate to trespass), nd [early 19th century]. After this comes a separate register of prisoners in the Bridewell, Nov. 1837-Nov. 1838, with some undated earlier entries.

These entries end Feb 1839 (entries for Jan-Feb 1839 are crossed out with note 'entered in the Register from Christmas 1838). The volume then continues with a list of prisoners tried at the borough quarter sessions court, giving prisoner's name, age, details of crime, plea, verdict and sentence. Before 1839, lists of prisoners, giving the same details, are entered in the volume every three months.
