Born in Wales. Died 1 January 1710 at Hammersmith.
Educated at St John's College, Cambridge, and became a Fellow there. Prebend of Salisbury, 1667. Elected Bishop of Llandaff by order of King Charles II on 6 April 1675. Confirmed Bishop of Peterborough on 16 May 1679 and spent 6 years there. Translated to Norwich from Peterborough. Elected 11June 1685, confirmed 4 July 1685, deprived of his bishopric 1 February 1690. Retired to Hammersmith and lived there for 20 years.
