Scope and content

Contains material with the autographs of many of the mayors, aldermen, merchants and members of parliament of King's Lynn, local landowners and various local worthies. Some of the signatures preserved have been cut from deeds and other documents. Where documents are complete it is clear that Harry Bradfer-Lawrence removed them from the papers of Philip Case, alderman and attorney of Lynn, and from the Bagge collection, which together form the major part of the Bradfer-Lawrence collection.

System of arrangement

Most of the items are trivial and scrappy, consisting largely of receipts, and have not been catalogued in detail. The most interesting items are listed. Some material has been pasted in, but the volume is interleaved with loose items. Formerly BL Xc/16.
