Administrative history

This school, initially operated jointly by several local authorities but situated at Gorleston within the County Borough of Great Yarmouth, opened in 1912 as a special school for the deaf and blind. Following Local Government re-organisation in 1974 it became the responsibility of Norfolk County Council Education Department, but the records remained at Great Yarmouth. School was evacuated to Aberpergwm House in Glynneath during 1940-1945. Closed in 1985.
