Administrative history

Court rolls from the sixteenth century (NRO MS 10270) give the lords of the manor as follows: William Trusbut held his first court in 1485, and William his son in 1517; Thomas Robyns held court in 1529 as executor of William Trusbut; a third William Trusbut held his first court in 1541. In 1559 Dorothea Greening, widow, and Anne Wilson, wife of Thomas Wilson, the heirs of William Trusbut held court. The following year Thomas Greening and John Skytton hold their first court. A roll of 1599 gives the lord as Thomas Hobart, who also held Kybalds and Leames manors in Beeston St Lawrence; entries for these manors appear on the roll.
