History

Doctor of law. Dean of Salisbury in July 1431. Consecrated Bishop of Rochester at Canterbury Cathedral 1 May 1435. In 1439 he was sent as ambassador to the king of France to make peace between the English and the French. Transferred from Rochester, prov. 19 September 1436, temporalities 16 February 1437. Buried in the upper part of the nave at Norwich Cathedral. Left money in his will to be given to poor scholars of his diocese. Died 6 December 1445 at Hoxne, Suffolk.
