Died after a fall from his pony.

The East Norfolk Militia was formed under the Militia Act of 1757. The headquarters were based in Great Yarmouth. In 1881 the Militia became the 4th Battalion of the Norfolk Regiment, which was later known as the Royal Norfolk Regiment, the 1st East Anglian Regiment and the Royal Anglian Regiment.
