History

Simon de Wauton or Walton was his nephew. Born at Wauton, or Walton D'eyville, in Warwickshire. He was elected soon after Walter Suffield's death on 4 June 1257, temp. 11 August 1257, consecrated on 10 March 1258, and enthroned at Norwich on 17 March 1258. In 1265 he granted an indulgence to Pynelye nunnery in Warwickshire. Buried in the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin in Norwich Cathedral. Resided at his manor of Thornage, Norfolk. Died 2 January 1266.
