Honour of Clare. Walter de Billingey died in possession of a third part of the manor 1305-6; heir his son John [IPM 4/368]. Geoffrey de Funtaigne died in possession of a third part of the manor 1306-7, of the inheritance of Margery sometime his wife: jury do not know who are the heirs [IPM 4/419]. Geoffrey de Funteyns died in possession of a third part of the manor 1315-6; heir John de Funteyns [IPM 5/608]. An inquisition of 1316-7 found that Walter de Bilingeye died in possession of a third part of the manor 11 years ago when his son John was a minor; John now petitions for the third part of the manor [IPM 6/63]. John de Billingey died possessed of a third part of the manor at inquisition in 1327; John was his son and heir [IPM 7/32]. Geoffrey de Funtaignes died in possession of one third of the manor, 1349-50; heir his son Robert [IPM 9/260]. \r\nThe executors of George Brightwen, Esq., are given as lords of the manor in White's Trade Directory, 1883.
