Biographical history

Edward William Taylor Warner was born on 28 March 1912 at Grimston, to Robert Warner, lime burner, and Emmeline Warner nee Smith. Edward, known as Ted, Warner married Ruth Mary Chamberlain (born 29 May 1912) on 15 May 1937. Ted's occupation was given as motor driver and Ruth was described as a domestic servant of Hillington. Her father was George William Chamberlain, labourer. Ted Warner died on 3 May 2013 at King's Lynn. Ted Warner grew up in Grimston and worked as chauffer to Sir Everard Ffolkes at Congham Lodge. He then worked at Johnsons Garage in Tower Place before moving on to construction work at airfields in west Norfolk after the Second World War. He then worked for John Laing Construction and British Sugar.
