This manor was originally held by the Bishop of Ely. Mullicourt, or Molycourt, Priory was situated on the Norfolk side of the River Well and it was amalgamated with Ely Cathedral priory in the mid-fifteenth century (see Outwell with Upwell, Norfolk, manor).
