Personal ledger of John Jarrold II, arranged by accounts with individuals or organisations. This ledger appears to cover both business accounts, such as printing and bookselling, as well as finances that are not directly related to the family business, such as the leasing of property and acting as a trustee for wills.
As John Jarrold II died in 1852, the date span of this item indicates that somebody, probably his sons, continued making entries in this ledger after John's death. Although the date on the cover indicates that the ledger was started in 1842 there are copies of earlier accounts going back to July 1836.
This volume contains loose enclosures.
