History

Rodfrid was his nephew and he was instituted to the vicarage of Aylsham. Elected 18 July 1215, temp. 9 August 1215, consecrated bishop by Pope Honorius III on 29 May 1222. Obtained from the Pope on showing that his see was in debt, that he and all his successors should have the first fruits of the clergy and diocese for their own which they enjoyed until King Henry VIII. Buried in Norwich Cathedral. Died 16 September 1226.
