Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, 15 August 1661-25 February 1675/76; Vice-Admiral of Norfolk, 1662-1676; High Steward of Lynn, 1664-1684; Colonel of a regiment of foot, 13 June 1667. Buried 10 December 1687 at East Raynham. Father of Charles, 2nd Viscount.
