Scope and content

This is a recorded conversation with two farming families, the KEMP’S and the BROWN’ of East Harling , Norfolk. Their memories of farming practice span over eighty years of change and innovation "from the old ways to the new ways". This recording was made on 2 March 2017 of the farmer’s Roy and Elizabeth Kemp and Mr Mike Brown in conversation at the Kemp’s farmhouse. Roy Kemp also modestly elaborates on the revolutionary system of pig-farming that he introduced over fifty years ago and which is now accepted as standard practice throughout the pig industry.
