Loose pieces of paper, found inside MC 1953/3 (between entries dated February 1838, September 1838 and November 1838) torn from a letter to Mr Hall from B.D. Wortley at Swannington Rectory, 1950, found inside the volume, where they had been used as book-marks and for notes relating to people and dates mentioned in the diary.
