Administrative history

Based at Hospital Road, Little Plumstead, Norwich, Norfolk, NR13 5EW. Opened by Norfolk County Council in 1930. A 'mental deficiency colony'. Part of the estate on which it was built was leased as farms to Thorpe St Andrew Asylum. In August 1948, Little Plumstead Hospital took over the Eaton Grange Institution from Norwich City Council.
