At an inquisition held in 1373, Sir William de Ingladesthorp was found to have held the manor of the Earl of Arundel. John was his son and heir [IPM 13/158]. At an inquisition held in 1476, Isabel, late wife of Sir William Norreys, and sometime wife of John Neville, Marquess Montagu, was found to have been in possession of the manor, holding it of William, Earl of Arundel. John Nevile, Duke of Bedford, was given as her son and heir, although a later inquisition in 1490 found that George, her son, was heir [IPM H7 1/95].\r\nSir Thomas Hare is given as the lord of the manors of Wimbotsham, Ingoldesthorpe, Tonwell, and Ramsey in White's Trade Directory (1845).\r\nThos. Leigh Hare, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory, 1883.

At an inquisition held in 1330, Thomas Bardolf was found to have been in possession of the manor. John was his son and heir [IPM 7/174]. At inquisitions taken in 1363, Sir John Bardolf of Wormegay was found to have been in possession of the manor, held with Cantley, Strumpshaw, Runcton, Whinburgh, Wormegay and Fincham as part of the barony Bardolf. William was his son and heir [IPM 11/396]. William de Bardolph de Wormegay died in possession, 1385-6; heir his son Thomas [IPM 16/224]. Agnes, widow of Sir John Bardolf, died in possession, holding of the barony of Wormegay, 1403; heir her son Sir Thomas Bardolf [IPM 18/793]. Owned by Ramsey Abbey from before the Conquest. Passed to the Crown at the Dissolution, then to Walpole family. Conveyed by William Walpole to Francis Gawdy of Wallington in 1574 [NRO, HARE 663]. Sir Robert Rich, son-in-law of Francis Gawdy, sold it to Sir Ralph Hare of Stow Bardolph in about 1612, and it remained within the Hare family.\r\nSir Thomas Hare is given as the lord of the manors of Wimbotsham, Ingoldesthorpe, Tonwell, and Ramsey in White's Trade Directory (1845).\r\nThos.
