All or part of this manor was held of the Honour of Clare.\r\nThomas William Coke is named as lord in the Inclosure Act of 1808 [NRO, DCN 53/6/1]. Mr John Sayers is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1845). John Henry Pearson is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1883).\r\nThe Duchy of Lancaster held the jurisdiction for the leet court in the town of Field Dalling [NRO, MS 19752-3].
