William de Ufford, Earl of Suffolk, died in possession 1381-2; his heirs were William de Wylurghby, Robert Lord Scales and Henry de Ferrariis of Groby [IPM 1:15/599,607]. Richard de la Pole, Earl of Suffolk, died in possession 1415; heir his son Richard [IPM 1:20/450].\r\nW.E.L. Bulwer, Esq., is given as lord of the manor in White's Trade Directory (1845).
