T/Sgt Spencer William 'Bill' Little was a radio operator on Raymond E. Ness's crew (crew no. 26) of the 853rd Bomb Squadron. The crew was nicknamed 'The Fight'n 26'.

Contains a printed and electronic copy of William Little, 'War Journal Entries of Spencer William (Bill) Little', a memoir of missions flown between 5 August 1944 and 21 November 1944. T/Sgt Spencer William 'Bill' Little was a radio operator on Raymond E. Ness's crew (crew no. 26) of the 853rd Bomb Squadron. The crew was nicknamed 'The Fight'n 26'. Crew members were: Lt Raymond E. Ness (pilot); Lt Edward Gorkowski (co-pilot) replaced the crew's original co-pilot G.E. Hendrickson; Lt Harry F. Mehollin (navigator); Lt John W. Lehrke (bombardier); S/Sgt Karol F. Krolski (engineer) replaced by ? Engel, December 1944; T/Sgt William S. Little (radio operator); S/Sgt Jacob S. Kessler (replacement waist-gunner); S/Sgt Lincoln S. Ricker (waist-gunner) went missing in action, 3 October 1944; S/Sgt Dilman L. Brendle (ball-turret gunner); S/Sgt Jesse W. 'Red' Cole (tail-gunner) transferred to another crew and went missing, presumed killed in action, 26 November 1944.
