Biographical history

Son of William Harvord of Welton by his wife Dorothy, married Anne and Mary, father to Phillip of Stanninghall and Besthorpe, William Harbord, Sir Charles Harbord and John Harbord. Educated at Staple Inn, Consituency - Launceston, succeeded father in 1616, purchased Stanninghall in 1648. Knighted 29 May 1636, succeeded by William Harbord (son). Surveyor General 1631-1642 and 1660-death.
