History

John J. French was bombardier with Harris Y. Harris's crew (crew no. 442) with the 784th Bomb Squadron. The crew were flying lead position in the B-24 'Liberty Belle' when it was involved in a collision and crashed during assembly, 1 September 1944, with the loss of the entire crew.
