History

1st Lt John B. Conrad was born in Dry Ridge, Kentucky on 23 Aug 1920. He was a mickey navigator with Frank Gonseth's crew. He served with various Bomb Groups, transferring from the 1st Search Attack Group, Langley Field, Virginia, in May 1944 to the 389th Bomb Group, to the 44th Bomb Group in June 1944, the 392nd Bomb Group in August 1944, the 44th Bomb Group in January 1945, returning to the 392nd Bomb Group in February 1945. Later, John Conrad became Vice-President of the 392nd Bomb Group, 2nd Air Division Association. He died in Dry Ridge, Kentucky on 21 Oct 2007.
