S/Sgt James A. Adovasio was killed while on detached service in Marrakesh, Morocco, 3 October 1943. His widow, Lena Adovasio (nee Kicula), was given money by the crew to support and educate her son.\r\nDr James M. 'Jim' Adovasio, Professor and Chairman of Anthropology, University of Pittsburgh, is the son of Lena and James A. Adovasio.
