Biographical history

Born 2 February 1766 at Clenchwarton. Educated at Lynn Grammar School, then Paston College, and Trinity ,then Corpus Chrisit College, Cambridge. Ordained deacon 21 September 1788, and priest, 30 May 1790.Appointed lecturer in the parish of St Margarert, King's Lynn, December 1791. Married Ann Pead of Hull shortly afterwards. Resided at Tower House, Tower Place, 1800-49. Vicar of East Winch, 1841-9. Created books of drawings of ancient buildings in King's Lynn, with historical notes under the titles 'Lynn Antiquities' and 'Scraps and Demolitions'.
