Also includes letters and a telegram to Frederic Eaton from The War Office concerning Tom Eaton, 18 March 1942-29 December 1942; a letter to Frederic and Ruth Eaton from the War Organisation of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St John of Jerusalem Prisoners of War Department, concerning Tom Eaton as a prisoner of war, 6 January 1943; and typescript copy of a letter from Sergeant ? of the 18th Division, to his wife, concerning arrival in Singapore, 18 March 1942.

These letters are mainly written to Frederic Eaton, with the exception of one letter sent to Ruth Eaton concerning prisoners of war in Japan during the Second World War, with related newspaper cutting.
