Secret printing register

A register recording details of secret printing jobs carried out by Jarrold and Sons during the Second World War. A typed list in the front of the register giving requirements for secret printing states that a record was to be kept of the receipt and subsequent movements of copy and it is likely that this register was created in accordance with that rule.

The headings in the register are not consistent, but it records details such as the printing ticket number, a description of the copy or job, the signature of the copy recipient and date received, the number and date of formes sent to the press, the number of proofs and pulls sent to the lithography department, the signature of the person distributing the forme and the date, the signature of the person receiving the copy, forme, and proofs; and the date.

The volume contains five loose pieces of notepaper, with notes.
