Use these options to specify how the date range returns results. "Exact" means that the start and end dates of descriptions returned must fall entirely within the date range entered. "Overlapping" means that any description whose start or end dates touch or overlap the target date range will be returned.

Letters from the third earl of Orford written from Munich, Toplitz, Florence, Wolterton, Ilsington and London, mostly to Frederick Walpole in India and at Rainthorpe, and mainly relating to family affairs and mentioning, inter alia, building work at Wolterton and Ilsington, son Henry's blindness, son Horatio's movements, books, Queen Victoria's coronation, servants, Crimean War, use of rooms at Wolterton, local militia and Colonel Nelthorpe and asking for seeds and plants. With additional notes by Mary his wife and Dorothy and Rachel his daughters and by Jane West. Also letters from the third earl to Laura, Frederick's wife, re her children and her visit to Constantinople. 1837-1854 and nd.

Correspondents include the Comte de Baillon re the letters of Horace Walpole, Robert Vincent Sievewright, a former teacher and thief, with a lengthy account of his circumstances, Herbert J. Green, enclosing a plan of Burnham Thorpe church, George Talbot re finding the coffin of Sir Thomas Dering in the foundations for the national church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Rome, and Disraeli.
