Letters from the third earl of Orford written from Munich, Toplitz, Florence, Wolterton, Ilsington and London, mostly to Frederick Walpole in India and at Rainthorpe, and mainly relating to family affairs and mentioning, inter alia, building work at Wolterton and Ilsington, son Henry's blindness, son Horatio's movements, books, Queen Victoria's coronation, servants, Crimean War, use of rooms at Wolterton, local militia and Colonel Nelthorpe and asking for seeds and plants. With additional notes by Mary his wife and Dorothy and Rachel his daughters and by Jane West. Also letters from the third earl to Laura, Frederick's wife, re her children and her visit to Constantinople. 1837-1854 and nd.
