Many of the papers relate to William's role as a landlord of residential property, but there are also family letters, including a few to his cousin Mrs Arnold, some relating to disputes with his brothers, and departure from the family partnership. There is also a mourning card for William, newspaper clippings covering his funeral, a copy of his marriage certificate, and extracts from parish registers relating to his wife's family.
