Visited Robert & Maria [Robert Were Fox, geologist and physicist]; details of tour in Cornwall; describes visit to Penzance and Lands End, the latter during a storm which was both sublime and ludicrous; held a meeting in a little Methodist meeting house and was impressed by the serious intelligent poor people; warm hospitality at Marazion of John Barclay who accompanied them to Redruth.
