This section contains photographs and documents which relate generally to the 2nd Air Division but which have not been identified as belonging to a particular Bomb Group, or other catalogue section. Many have partially identified subjects and are from anonymous donors. Some of the records relate to the Norwich area and to local people.

American Red Cross

This section includes records relating to the American Red Cross Service Club, based at the Bishop's Palace, Norwich. It contains the State registers signed by visiting servicemen and a photograph and press cutting relating to the opening of the club. Also includes records of some Red Cross personnel.

Papers of George Wright and the Lead Aircraft Project

Papers of George G. Wright of Sutton Coldfield relating to his construction of model 2nd Air Division lead or assembly aircraft. Includes correspondence with several 2nd Air Division Association members discussing the aircraft. Also contains papers relating to George Wright's attendance at the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library dedication, including correspondence and news cuttings, November 2001.

Organization and Operations

This section contains general information deposited by veterans on operations, statistics and the structure of the 2nd Air Division (not related to a specific Bomb Group). Includes operation charts, histories, deployment charts, fabric patches, and statistical information. Contains some printed records and some records created after 1945.

18th Weather Squadron

This section contains records relating to the work and personnel of the 18th Weather Squadron including correspondence, photographs and a printed history of the unit. Operational Weather Squadrons were, and continue to be, staffed by a mixture of meteorologists and technicians who continuously monitor terrestrial and atmospheric weather activity. They were involved in mission planning, producing analyses, weather forecasts, and briefings.

77th and 231st Station Hospitals (Wymondham)

This section contains records relating to the 77th and 231 Station Hospitals based at Morley, near Wymondham. It includes official histories and annual reports; photographs of the hospital buildings and ward tents, staff and patients; papers relating to named individuals who either worked or were treated at the hospital; correspondence from former staff members; papers relating to staff reunions.
