Archdeaconry of Norwich: Marriage Licence Bonds and Affidavits
From 1823 affidavits (also called allegations) only. Filed according to the date at which they were returned to the Archdeacon, not the date issued. Affidavits continued to be returned in this Archdeaconry until 1915, the last commissary dying in 1922. The bundles mostly represent broken files or parts of files. New style dates used in catalogue.

These list incumbents, churchwardens etc., and mainly contain injunctions as to repairs and furnishings. They continue in effect from the comperta books, though the early ones are entitled libri generales inquisiciones. To 1684 two of the clergy within each deanery are usually designated to carry out the visitation. From 1719 names of churchwardens sworn within the Peculiar of Castle Rising are usually recorded.
