Notebooks of the bishop giving details of where the confirmation service took place, what parishes attended and the names and ages of candidates. From February 1944 only the date, place, name of the officiating clergyman and number of confirmees by sex.

These rough notebooks contain the details of the parties from which the marriage licences were drawn up.

Until 1751, with the exception of the years 1744-1748, these documents are numbered and many boxes contain contemporary indexes.

Title deeds, plans, petitions, sentences, commissions, bills and other papers associated with the consecration of new churches, chapels, burial grounds and the granting of licences for the performance of services. Some of the deeds are listed amongst the series of Diocesan Deeds but described as being 'with consecration papers'; such deeds were on the whole unnumbered but have been given sub-numbers from the diocesan deeds list, see DN/ADR 26.

These consist of unrelated material boxed together, roughly in order of date, for convenience.

Presentation deeds, declarations of assent, details of clerical career and petitions for dispensations.

These personnel files from the Bishop's Office relate to clergymen who have died whilst either being in post or who were retired but had been granted permission to officiate in the area covered by the Diocese of Norwich. They usually contain copies of birth certificates and details of education, experience and interests and the names of the cleric's immediate family, but not normally of their parentage or family history. They often contain letters of recommendation, reports on character by previous employers and diocesan officials, copies of obituaries, and correspondence between the cleric and the bishop. Those files relating to retirees contain standard forms relating to the granting of permission to officiate (or 'PTOs' in clerical jargon). After 1994, they may contain reports and formula relating to child protection issues, including details of police checks and of any convictions and health issues, although this material is now (2010) routinely transferred to other record series (not deposited). All files are routinely surveyed by the Bishop's Chaplain before they are transferred.
