Each volume is arranged numerically by plan number and initially for each plan the following details are given: situation, by whom submitted, date when received, number of buildings, description of building, City Engineer's and Surveyor's remarks and resolution of Committee. After plan 17586 the following details are given for each plan: situation, submitted by; description of work, date received, date approved, [date] work commenced, [date] foundation inspected, [date] drain inspected, [date] work completed and [name of] builder. Each volume is indexed and the index also applies to the applications for permission to develop land (planning applications) received from the Planning Officer, City Hall, Norwich (see N/P2).
