Frederick Parker was born in London in October 1926. He was a very intelligent child and won a scholarship to the Central Foundation School. The whole school was evacuated to Fakenham in Norfolk, during the evacuation Parker kept a handwritten diary in which he records the events of everyday life, while having an awareness of international affairs in the Second World War. The collection includes a transcript of the diary and an edition of the magazine of Parker's school.

These papers consist mainly of account books which also served as appointment diaries. In 1986 two diaries seem to have been kept, one for accounts and the other for appointments. The latter have not been selected for permanent preservation. The accounts give a very detailed and interesting insight into twentieth century living.

Contain entries relating to, amongst other things, his local walks, fishing, heraldry, churches, inn and village signs, photography, the weather and trips to the theatre and cinema.

Detailed personal diaries (Boots Chemist's printed Home Diaries) with at front, his address and pension reference number. Entries include daily references to the weather, his odd jobs, gardening, walks, visits and visitors, local trips to look over prospective house purchases, his purchase of building land at Reedham and subsequent plans to erect houses upon it and the doings of his family and their friends. MC 1783/6 encloses a postcard photograph portrait of A.B. Cock [probably Alfred Cock of Yarmouth] as a young man, nd, and MC 1783/7 includes a copy letter to estate agents with particulars of his property for sale at Weasenham, 1924. Other memoranda include a list of Deacon family members and the place of issue of their Post Office Savings Bank pass-books, nd, and lists of acquaintances' names and addresses.

Diaries of Sir Charles Harbord Suffield, 5th Baron Suffield, (1830-1914, Lord in Waiting to Queen Victoria and Chief of Staff to the Princess of Wales). The diaries are fairly laconic and sporadically kept. They record life and sport at Gunton Park, cruising holidays including yachting in the Mediterranean, shooting in Tangier, and Dublin in 1883 and frequent references to royalty encountered during official duties.

The journals up to 1870, and particularly those written during his years abroad, are illustrated with Quevillart's own drawings.

Diaries (in Rees' Improved Diaries) of Revd William Wallace, incumbent of Thorpe Abbots, 1838-1868, and, from 1836, curate of Roydon. Wallace was at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and died in 1868. The diaries are terse and are mainly concerned with farming affairs. A few family matters and sudden deaths in the neigbourhood are mentioned, but little on the pastoral side save notes of other clergy serving his churches, or he theirs. He came into residence at Thorpe early in 1840. A visit to Southampton is recorded in September 1840 and a Handel Festival in September 1842.

Comprises diaries, 1940-1948, 1958-1959, 1970-1973, 1998-2005, 2010-2011; two photograph albums, 1940-1945; and personal papers, including souvenirs of Marion's life in Canada, as an evacuee during the Second World War.
