Letters written to Neale in the course of publishing his views of 'The Seats of Noblemen and Gentlemen in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland'.

Bound in date order into two volumes with additional letters inserted at back of second volume. Accounts from Longmans the publishers, draft circulars, and an agreement of 1818 between Neale and Richard Rees his partner are included. Correspondents include Rees, J.S. Cotman, R.C. Hoare, W. Palgrave, W. Radclyff, Thomas Burton, Thomas Mowle, William Wilkins, Sir Thomas Phillipps, Francis Darby, William Stevenson of Norwich, R. Marrison, Robert Rising, Lloyd Bamford Hesketh, E.P. Neale, Walter Landor, R. Sands, Dawson Turner, E. Oxley, E.B. Bulwer Lytton, William Gunn (on the Prestons, Neale's Norfolk forbears), and many others, and there is a bill from the artist John Linnell and a drawing in an unsigned letter of the mausoleum at Castle Howard.
