The plans include both original drawings and copies (these mainly being dyeline prints). As far as is possible copies have been listed with the originals. Apart from two earlier plans the vast majority date from the period 1931-1958; the county architect in the 1930s being C.J. Norton and from the 1940s onwards, C.H. Thurston. Original bundle references appear in square brackets at the ends of sub-headings.
