History
S/Sgt Herman A. Peacher was born on the 16 June 1917 at Brookfield, Missouri. He was tail-turret gunner with George N. Spaven's crew on board the B-24 'Flak Magnet'. The 'Flak Magnet' was hit by flak during a mission to the marshalling yards at Hamm, Germany. Peacher was held at Obermassfeld, Luft IV and Luft I prisoner of war camps. He died on 8 October 2008.
