History

1st LT Harry E. Thomas was a bombardier with George E. Jones's crew. He flew 33 heavy bomber missions with 576th Bomb Squadron, and was held for a period of 10 months in Stalag Luft III, was forced to take part in one of the prisoner of war marches and box car rides, and also imprisoned in Stalag VII-A.
