History

Born in 1872, the son of Norwich whitesmith, Frederick William Frost and his wife, Maria. In 1890, Frost joined the Norfolk Regiment, serving in the Boer War and First World War and rising to become Quartermaster Captain. He married Elvina, daughter of Walter Gill Ellis and his wife, Emily Palgrave, at St John's Roman Catholic Church, Norwich in 1896.
