History

Frank Sidney Franklin was born in London on 23 November 1897. Around 1900, his family removed to Oxfordshire, where Franklin attended Lord Williams Grammar School, Thame. During the 1st World War , he served in the Tank Corps. He married Lottie Buckingham, from a family farm at Lammas. He was the sometime headmaster of Buxton School, and of The Central School, Terrington, and secretary to the Norfolk Beekeepers' Association. He died on 30 October 1975.
