History

Born at St Neot's, Huntingdonshire. Educated at Cairns College. Chaplain and almoner to King James I, and it was by him that he was preferred to the deanery of Carlisle in 1622. Transferred from Carlisle. Elected 22 January 1629. confirmed 9 February 1929. Translated to Ely 8 December 1631. While Bishop of Norwich he contributed 400l to the repairing of St Paul's.
Wrote 'The Orthodox Faith and Way to the Church Explained the Justified'.
